Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. They are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.

Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge is a nonprofit, 501 resource center, organized and fully staffed by individuals with disabilities and their families. 
Baton Rouge Parents Magazine’s primary goal is to provide information for parents and families in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Their vision is to partner with large and small businesses that share their core value, “What the child becomes, the community becomes.” They believe in this core value, and so their resources are devoted to providing necessary information to help parents and families raise healthy, happy families and productive children. They have also recently created  Special Parents with the goal of providing information and resources to parents of children with special needs.
Louisiana's 2011 State Autism Conference keynote speaker, Amy Cameron, is owner and founder of Pathways Treatment Center. Pathways offers families the education, tools and support they need to help their child with autism. Amy's website includes great videos, podcasts, radio interviews, and many more resources for parents interested in learning more about Relationship Development Intervention (RDI™).
The Masgutova organization is dedicated to developing and refining non-invasive techniques that improve, restore or optimize function, despite the challenges that may be present. They offer a wide range of educational programs designed to bring the Masgutova Method within reach of health and wellness professionals, parents, and caregivers alike.

Bal-A-Vis-X is a series of Balance/Auditory/Vision eXercises, of varied complexity, all of which are deeply rooted in rhythm.

 

Exercises are done with sand-filled bags and racquetballs, sometimes while standing on a balance board.
